Vibrant Communities Calgary

Vibrant Communities Calgary works collaboratively to engage Calgarians and to advocate for long-term strategies that address the root causes of poverty in Calgary.

One root cause of poverty is low wages. The Living Wage campaign aims to ensure that Calgarians working full time earn enough to meet their basic needs.

A second root cause of poverty is affordable transportation. The Fair Fares campaigned lobbied successfully for a low-income transit pass in Calgary.
