Help Someone Move from Poverty to Prosperity
Calgary is a city of prosperity. Yet, right now, more than 100,000 people in Calgary are living below the poverty line.
Families are struggling to make ends meet. Food banks and shelters provide essential short-term solutions to people in need, but how do we help people move out of poverty in a sustainable way?
Momentum is a unique organization in Calgary. We are not about poverty relief, but poverty reduction. Our goal is to have fewer poor, rather than better poor.
Momentum is working to reduce poverty in our community. We help people move out of poverty in a sustainable way so that they can take care of themselves and their families to become contributing community members. That benefits everyone in the community.
