Learn how a website can enhance your business through this 20-hour, part-time program.
eVentures discusses the business of doing business online.
eVentures can be taken before, after, during or independent of any other Business Development program.
This program is facilitated in an interactive, casual group setting.
Please note: You will not learn how to build your own website in this program.
Learn the skills
- Learn the history and structure of the Internet,
- Understand the basics of visual appearance and design elements,
- Determine the best website structure for your business,
- Understand what customers are looking for on your website,
- Understand how customers navigate websites, and
- Learn how to drive customers to your website.
How much does it cost?
This program costs $30.
Do I qualify?
This program is for people who are interested in starting their own business, earn a low income and meet one of the following additional requirements:
- Have not finished school, or
- Work at a "dead-end" job, or
- Are an immigrant, or
- Have any condition that limits employment opportunities.
A good understanding of the English language is an asset.
Must have good computers skills.
This program is a prerequisite for eVentures 2.0 which will be offered in November 2011. Check back soon for more details.
How do I apply?
This program is offered twice a year.
To apply for this program, you must first attend Momentum’s free Exploring Entrepreneurship introductory workshop.
This program fills up fast! Call 403.204.2671 to sign up for Exploring Entrepreneurship today. Once you have completed the orientation, you can fill out an application form for eVentures. If you qualify, you will be invited in for an interview.
