eVentures

Program Outline

eVentures is a part-time program which offers participants the opportunity to learn about online business. The program is aimed at individuals who want to work from home.  Participants may enrol in eVentures before, after, during or independent of the any other Business development programs. The program is 20 hours in length.

The goal is become more knowledgeable about what an online presence can and can not do for your business.

How It Works

eVentures is facilitated in a live group setting at our location.  The facilitator will guide the participants through information in an interactive and casual setting.  Please note: there is no computer lab time during this workshop.

Benefits to You

Learn the history structure and Internet terms. Understand basic components of visual appearance and design elements. Determine if your online business idea is feasible.  Know what your customers are looking for on your website and give it to them. Find out how to make money with your online business website. How to drive traffic to your website.

Who Can Apply?

Any person in Calgary who is interested in starting their own business, has a low income and any one of the following circumstances apply:

• Has not finished school.
• Works at a "dead-end" job.
• Has come from another country.
• Has any condition that limits employment opportunities
• A good understanding of the English language is an asset
