Financial Consumer Agency of Canada
FCAC is an independent body that works to protect consumers and inform them of financial products and services.
Established in 2001 by the Government of Canada to strengthen oversight of consumer issues and expand consumer education in the financial sector. As of July 2010, FCAC also oversees the payment card network operators and their commercial practice.
