Guest Speaker - Financial Topics
Purpose of Volunteer Role:
Speakers on various financial topics are needed to give participants information and resources which help them plan their personal financial lives. Bringing speakers in is also a way to build bridges/overcome barriers between participants and those working in the financial sector.
Description of Duties:
Speakers will:
- Present to a group of between 15 & 25 adults or youth (ages16-21) about various money management topics (see list below)
- Collaborate with the facilitator of the group to make sure that the content is appropriate for the group.
Skills/Qualifications Required:
Speaker must have related education/training and/or experience in the areas of:
- Banking
- Taxes
- Investing
- Wills and Estates
- Values
- Insurance
- Mortgages
- Home Ownership
- Funding Your Education
- Career Planning
- Global Economy

Ongoing
Specific Time of Day Required:
Evenings 6:30pm - 9:00pm
Time Commitment:
2-4 two hour sessions per year
