Momentum provides loans to individuals who are unable to access traditional financing. Momentum’s character-based loans provide financing where banks and lending institutions do not.

The loans are real, and so is the support that comes with your loan. Momentum provides a host of business development programs. In short, you have everything you need to start and operate your own small business.

Eligible borrowers must have a reasonable business idea, reside within the City of Calgary, and have no undischarged bankruptcies.*

How do I access the money?

The Micro Business Loan is a character-based loan. This means that basic credentials and a good business idea is all you need. The usual lending barriers, such as poor credit or bad debt, do not prevent you from accessing a Momentum micro loan.
If you are unable to access traditional business financing, Momentum micro loans may be for you.

Micro Loans can be used for a variety of business requirements including registration and liscencing, tools or equipment purchases, advertising, or inventory.

Additional funds may be available after successful repayment.
