Money Management is a program where people who are living on a low income, or are experiencing significant barriers, learn to effectively manage their limited finances.
Free Money Managements workshops are held at Momentum every Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon.
Learn the skills
Through a series of workshops, participants will gain skills and knowledge in:
- Budgeting: control your money
- Banking: be a smart bank customer
- Credit: take charge of it
- Assets: build your future
- Consumerism: decide for yourself
Individuals may sign up for as few or as many workshops as they’d like. Participants who attend all five workshops will earn a Certificate of Completion.

Momentum facilitators are also available to facilitate the Money Management workshops to groups in other non-profit agencies who serve Calgarians who are living on a low income or are experiencing significant barriers. The host agency is expected to recruit and register participants, and provide facilities, refreshments and child minding.
Momentum can tailor one workshop or a series of workshops to meet the specific needs of each agency’s group of participants, including workshops tailored to meet the needs of people experiencing mental health issues or a housing crisis.
How much does it cost?
These workshops are free.
Free child minding is also available for Monday night Money Management workshops. Please note that we require at least one week's notice to provide child minding.

Free Money Management Workshops
Public workshops are held at Momentum every Monday night from 6:30 to 8:30pm and every Tuesday afternoon from 1:30 to 3:30pm (except holidays).

To register for a Monday night Money Management workshop, select the date that you would like to attend and fill out the registration form.
