Money Management
Program Outline
Operating since 2000, Money Management works with people in need to enable them to take control of their financial futures. The program partners with community agencies to teach people. Workshops are provided to teach people how to better manage their money.
The workshops offered include:
- Assets
- Budgeting
- Banking
- Credit
- Consumerism
- Stretching Your Dollar
How It Works
Money Management delivers from two to twelve hours of financial literacy workshops in settings where participants are comfortable, usually within the context of an existing group. Topics may include:
- Planning and Tracking Expenses
- Visioning Your Financial Future
- Making Responsible Purchases
- Overcoming Your Fear of Financial Institutions
- Stretching Your Dollar
- Banking
- Taxes
- Investing
- Repairing or Building Your Credit Rating
The program is not marketed to individuals, but to community-based groups. No fee is charged for delivery of these workshops. The group decides on the frequency of delivery and the topics covered in the sessions.
