Program Outline

The program provides entrepreneurs with a forum to discuss their business experiences, challenges and successes. The program is facilitated and a general curriculum is followed. Topics covered are geared towards writing a business plan; initial steps to starting a business, competitive analysis, marketing and financial projections. The outcome of this program is to assist entrepreneurs in writing a basic business plan.

How It Works

This 8 hour program runs Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The program is free of charge; all that is needed is a business idea.

Who Can Apply?

Any person in Calgary who is interested in starting their own business, has a low income and any one of the following circumstances apply:

• Has not finished school.
• Works at a "dead-end" job.
• Has come from another country.
• Has any condition that limits employment opportunities
• A good understanding of the English language is an asset
