At Momentum we respect your privacy and confidentiality

Momentum has a privacy policy which protects the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information.

Why do we collect information?

Momentum collects information from applicants who wish to participate in our programs, donors who wish to contribute financially, and employees. We collect personal information only for the following purposes:

  • To determine the suitability of an applicant to one of our community economic development and volunteer programs.
  • To evaluate the performance or suitability of an individual for an employment, volunteer or participant position.
  • To understand and respond to our prospective, current and past participants, members, employees, volunteers and donors' needs, concerns, or opinions.
  • To meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • To raise funds for the organization.

How do we protect your personal information?

We value and respect your privacy. We are committed to taking all reasonable steps to protect your personal information. Momentum:

  • Will not collect, use or disclose your personal information for any purpose other than those identified except with your consent.
  • Will protect your personal information with appropriate technological and organizational safeguards.
  • Will keep your personal information as accurate and as up-to-date as is necessary for the purposes identified above.
  • Will honour any request you may make to access your personal information.

When do we disclose personal information?

  • Momentum does not disclose information to third parties without the individuals' explicit or implicit consent except when the disclosure is required or permitted by law.
  • In situations in which imminent danger to life or property could be avoided or minimized by the disclosure of information.
  • Employee information may be shared with third parties involved in supplying the individual to receive products, services and benefits, but only with consent.

Can you withdraw your consent for the use of your personal information?

Yes. We want to continue to have your consent to collect, use or disclose your personal information but if at any time you want to withdraw your consent you can do so.

You can have your name removed from our telephone, mail or email lists. We use these lists to inform you of relevant Momentum initiatives that we think may be of interest to you.
