Peer Support Group

Get together with other entrepreneurs to discuss your experiences, challenges and successes in operating your small business in a group discussion led by a Momentum facilitator. Topics covered include writing a business plan, intitial steps to starting a business, competitive analysis, marketing and financial projections.

Peer Group runs on Monday & Tuesday from 9:00 am–1:00 pm. Peer Group is 8 hours long and is offered on a monthly basis.
 

Learn the skills

  • Network with other entrepreneurs,
  • Learn management skills for small business,
  • Learn the concepts of business planning, and
  • Write a business plan.
     

How much does it cost?

This program is free.
 

Do I qualify?

This program is for people who are interested in starting their own business, earn a low income and meet at least one of the following requirements:

  • Have not finished school,
  • Work at a "dead-end" job,
  • Do not have any undischarged bankruptcies,
  • Are an immigrant, or
  • Have any condition that limits employment opportunities.

A good understanding of the English language is an asset.
 

How do I apply?

This program is offered on an ongoing basis.

To apply for this program, you must first attend Momentum's free Exploring Entrepeneurship orientation session.

The program fills up fast! Signup for Exploring Entrepreneurship today. Once you have completed the orientation, you can fill out an application form for the eVentures. If you qualify, you will be contacted for a brief phone interview.

Applications are completed following a brief phone interview or in-person meeting.
