Fundraising Code of Conduct
We honour a donor's request as to the frequency of solicitations and to the method of solicitation.
Donors will be made comfortable to ask questions when making a donation, and to receive prompt, truthful, and forthright answers.
We treat donors and prospective donors with consideration and respect. The requests and requirements of all donors will be thoughtfully considered before the donation is accepted.
All relationships between donors and individuals representing the organization will be professional in nature.
We believe that we provide an opportunity for donors and potential donors to participate in the important work we do in the community. We do not "beg" for donations.
We offer information and opportunities for people to join us. We do not use pressure or guilt.
We are positive and optimistic. We strive to continue to cultivate potential donors, even in discouraging situations.
We are truly appreciative of our donors and potential donors. We always thank people for considering a donation, even when the answer is no. We recognize and steward our donors, demonstrating their impact and contribution to the work we do in the community.
