Momentum has been selected by the Tides Canada Foundation as one of the Top 10 Charities in Canada for 2007!

The reasons we were chosen:

• Our award-winning Community Economic Development (CED) programs which includes business development programs that annually reach over 300 people and support 50 small business startups.

• Lending over 300 Micro Business Loans with over $900,000 invested and a repayment rate of 90%.

• Matching the savings of over 800 individuals and families with more than $1 million under our matched savings program. Over 30 people have been able to purchase homes with the matched savings.

• Training over 500 immigrants and Aboriginal people for careers in trades, many of them tripling their earnings in less than five years.
